Building on the foundation of Cablevision's School to Career mission, the Young Communicators program opens with the On Assignment Learning Kits to explore the world of communication. Created for young adults in middle and high school, the program is designed to inspire students to gain their own News Judgement and Values as they begin to process and present information from different media sources.

The Assignment Desk provides a structured environment in which to collect, organize, write, and present information. By assuming the roles and functions of reporters, editors, writers, and video technicians, Young Communicators learn the basics of transmitting information about events in our world -- their world and, more importantly, how to voice an opinion about topics relevant to them.
